Today I wanted to dive into the topic of debunking the myths about imposter syndrome, and you may not even know that these myths exist. You may believe that it’s just something in your life that affects the way you show up and you know that you have it, but you don't really know what to do about it.  The main thing with imposture syndrome is that there are beliefs that are ingrained in you that are enforcing your imposter syndrome. That’s where the trouble comes, because they are so deep rooted.

That’s everything I do in terms of the work with my clients - working past these beliefs, creating new neural pathways and really focusing on overcoming your inner imposter. Which, if you haven't given a name yet to your inner imposture make sure you do, because the first step here is you are not your inner imposter, it is a voice that is...

Hey, you guys! Welcome back to the pod with me, Jillian Parekh. I am your host for the From Imposter To Empowered Podcast. And today we actually have my very first guest interview that I ever did for the pod. Back in September of 2019, I decided to do some interviews, and I got really on my horse about, “yeah, I'm going to have people on the podcast.”

And then I went to a couple of events. I just had all this stuff going on. I was revamping my business. There were so many things going on that I actually didn't have the time to work on these interviews. But my beautiful podcast guests have been so patient with me. The very first one that I did was with Jaclyn DeJesus and she is a marketing maven who runs a creative project management company for branding, web design and digital marketing projects. She's passionate about social media and that is how we...

Are You an Imposter or Just Uninspired | Imposter Syndrome

Today's episode is going to be short and sweet, and something that's been coming up for a few of my clients. One thing that they're really struggling with is procrastination and feeling very unmotivated when it comes to working on their business. And for some reason, this fosters feelings of imposter syndrome.

Being unmotivated or unable to work on your business or feeling like you want to procrastinate comes with deeper emotional issues. And that's why I think some people feel like it may be a symptom of their imposter syndrome because they're thinking, “Am I really an imposter? Like, should I even really be doing this if I can't even find the energy to work on it?” Especially because our coaching businesses are supposed to be our passions. It’s supposed to be something that we're super passionate about and we want to work on all the...

This is What a Good Coach Does | Imposter Syndrome

Today's topic is all about coaching. Because the majority of people who come to me are coaches and they always have an issue with being the guiding force for their clients. Now, as a coach, you are supposed to be a guiding force. You are supposed to ask powerful questions. You are supposed to be that guiding light to help people through what they're dealing with, but you never want to feel like you are in charge of their results, because that is a recipe for you thinking that you are in control of the exact results that your clients get. And if your clients don't get results, then you blame yourself. And that is a recipe for disaster.

When it comes to imposter syndrome, you will think that you're not good enough and that your work isn't good enough. And that may result in you procrastinating or lowering your prices or revamping your coaching programs. And nobody...

Are struggling with your mindset and struggling with feeling like you're not worthy of your prices? Feeling like you're always running on a hamster wheel? As if you're not really sure how to set goals properly because you're so afraid of the outcomes? Do you get inundated with rejection and failure, and end up feeling really shitty when that happens? If you checked yes to all of these, then you need my Mastermind in your life.

When it comes to your business, you take everything personal. You self-sabotage like no other, you procrastinate or maybe you're a perfectionist. You're constantly working on things to put them out there, and then you feel really shitty when you do put them out there and nobody buys or nobody seems interested. This stops you from showing and being consistent. Honestly, I have been there and so have my clients....

4 Ways to Combat Comparisonitis | Imposter Syndrome

I was really thinking about one thing I repeatedly see in my DMS. One thing I consistently see with regard to people who are struggling and one thing I am constantly asked to discuss in my guest podcasts is the topic of comparisonitis. If you're often at war with your inner imposter, chances are you experience extreme comparisonitis as well. Maybe seeing the progress and wins of other people in the online space only makes you more anxious and it only shines a light into how incompetent, unorganized and overwhelmed you feel. But you really want to cheer on your biz bestie. You really want to cheer on these women and really feel good about what you're doing!

One thing I want to say is comparisonitis will come in waves. So there are times where I'll just have a day where I feel like I'm doing the wrong thing, even though there's totally quotations on that, because...

Why You Should Name Your Inner Imposter | Imposter Syndrome

So today's episode is going to be quite short, but it came up for me, especially because in this time in my life. I have found that balancing a full time job and being an entrepreneur on the side is very challenging. We're just going to jump right into it by the way, getting deep already. What came up for me was that I am constantly having to be productive and this is also related to some anxiety issues that I have in terms of feeling like my value in my worthiness is based on my doing.

I spend very little time just being, relaxing and just being okay with wherever I am, because I always feel like there's a future goal to achieve, or there's some world of success that I am not a part of yet, and that I just need to work as hard as I can to get to that place.. But that place doesn't exist.

I really wanted to talk about being okay with being where you're at and...
