This podcast episode was inspired by a conversation with a 1:1 client that I thought was so good and juicy, you guys needed to hear this message, too.
ย
So she dropped into Whatโs App one day, and was talking about her attraction marketing strategy and how she feels like her desperate or lack mentality is not going to attract clients to her. And when we pulled the threads at her lack and scarcity mentality, what we found was so interesting to me - but definitely not uncommon. You see, my client is as safe as can be. She has the support she needs, she has the money she needs, her bills are paid, she has a home, sheโs got clients in her business - she is safe. But despite being safe with her money, she has this feeling of desperation, lack, and scarcity that she is creating through her thoughts of needing more clients, more success, just more in general when it comes to her business.

I recently hadย a client ask how she could change the habit of sleeping in, in order to become her highest self.โฃ
โฃ
Instead of giving her tips like creating an evening routine so you go to bed earlier, listening to subliminals while you sleep, rewarding yourself for waking up early - I asked her what the big fucking deal was with sleeping in.โฃ
โฃ
I encouraged her to ask herself what she was making it mean that she was sleeping in. ๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ต: Society tells us that sleeping in is lazy. But is that objectively true?
๐๐ช๐ฏ๐ต: No. Lolโฃ
โฃ
We realized that she actually was a night owl, and was just shaming herself for not doing her work earlier in the day - even though she got plenty of work done when she slept in and worked in the afternoon/evening.โฃ
โฃ
My question to her, and to you, is the same.

This year, on my 29th birthday, my high school sweetheart proposed to me and asked me to be his wife! Weโre so excited.โฃ
And you should know, Iโve waited foreverrrrr for this moment - we were 15 when we started dating. And about 5 years ago, I really started to wonder when the ring was coming.
It became a running joke in my family (Dustin was super happy about that ๐คฃ ), and I would think constantly about what it would be like once we were engaged and could plan our wedding.โฃ
I always knew the ring was coming, even when it wasnโt a physical manifestation yet. And when a couple years went by and I saw everyone else getting engaged, married, having kids (๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ฆ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ด๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ ๐ต๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฏ๐ด ๐ค๐ข๐ฏ ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ!), I started to wonder when it would happen for me.โฃ

But why would you want to?โฃ
โฃ
It would be like going up a mountain without any water. Sure, you can get to your destination - but how was the journey?โฃ
โฃ
Were you stepping more and more into your power, taking every step in stride, feeling rejuvenated and hydrated? Were you positive youโd make it?โฃ
โฃ
Or were you looking around and anxiously stopping along the way, trying to preserve your energy? Did you feel scarce, anxious, and unsure? Were you constantly questioning your every move and wondering if you were gonna make it?โฃ
โฃ
No, the inner work isnโt a requirement to making money in entrepreneurship. But youโre here for more than just โmaking moneyโ - this is your lifeโs work. You want to grow, scale, build an empire.โฃ
โฃ
And while the way youโre trudging up the mountain may be working, it isnโt sustainable.โฃ

Every time you uncover another layer of why you feel unworthy, you remove a heavy brick from the wall of your unworthiness. You acknowledge that part of you, validate that part of you, and release - and you give yourself permission to level up.โฃ

When Iโve asked more seasoned entrepreneurs what they wish they focused on more in the beginning of their business, they alllll told me - ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ๐๐ญ. โฃ
โฃ
Because, it all comes down to the beliefs you hold about yourself, the world, money, and making money, honey.โฃ
โฃ
And it all comes down to the thoughts you have, how you respond to those thoughts, and then the stories you allow your thoughts to tell you.โฃ
โฃ
When you ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฏโ๐ต focus on mindset early on:โฃ
โฃ
โ youโll create limitations around what you can & cannot doโฃ

When you ๐ฅ๐ฐ focus on mindset early on, youโll:โฃ

โจ break through limitations because you know everything can be figured outโฃ
โจ rebound from setbacks fasterโฃ
โจ de-personalize rejectionโฃ
โจ maintain consistency because you trust yourself & your pathโฃ

Because this is the meaning youโre giving your story. And because you whole-heartedly believe this, you hide. You donโt talk about your services how you wish you could. You donโt have boundaries with yourself or your audience/clients.โฃ
โฃ
Whereas someone with the exact same story as you, could be using it as her hero story. As to WHY sheโs good enough. As to why someone would want to buy from her, because sheโs unapologetically herself and embraces the parts of her that she knows other people can relate to.โฃ
โฃ
And sheโd be right, too. Because sheโs choosing for this story to empower her, instead of letting it keep her small.โฃ

This is why ๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ-๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ (๐๐๐) is so powerful. NLP allows us to access those subconscious stories and beliefs and change the way we feel and think about the...
So I don't know about you, but I always get my best ideas while driving!ย
The other day while driving, I started thinking about being relatable and how I often shareย my real raw experiences with my audience.
So I never want to use really vague examples.
Whenever I'm talking about something, I use my own life and something that I've experienced and that I'm struggling with.
And even if I'm currently struggling with that, I'll be very open and transparent with my clients because I really believe that it is important and people really need to hear that they're not alone.
And that's because shame is our default setting!ย Shame is whatย we resort to because it was how we were raised.
Aย lot of this generation was raised on shame.
I think about the time where I went to the grocery store with myย family when I was like 8 years old.ย And I stole like one of those tape gum things.
ย
I took it out of my pocket and showed it to my sister once we got into the car.
I was like look what I did!...
Letโs say youโre a Mindset Coach who uses human design in their business.โฃ
โฃIf you grew up around people who used human design often and who thought running a coaching business from social media was the norm, you wouldnโt be constantly questioning if they think what youโre doing online is weird.โฃ
โฃAnd thatโs because your paradigm, which is defined as a pattern of being or a model, is different than what theyโre used to.
And typically, people who arenโt committed to mindset work or personal development arenโt actively changing their paradigm.โฃโฃย
Thereโs nothing wrong with what youโre doing, itโs just ๐ฅ๐ช๐ง๐ง๐ฆ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต from the paradigm that the people around you have used to.โฃย
โฃWhen youโre around people who get what youโre doing, whether thatโs in person or online, itโs less likely youโll question if what youโre doing is ๐ณ๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐ต or ๐ธ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ.โฃ
