Today's episode is going to be short and sweet, and something that's been coming up for a few of my clients. One thing that they're really struggling with is procrastination and feeling very unmotivated when it comes to working on their business. And for some reason, this fosters feelings of imposter syndrome.
Being unmotivated or unable to work on your business or feeling like you want to procrastinate comes with deeper emotional issues. And that's why I think some people feel like it may be a symptom of their imposter syndrome because they're thinking, “Am I really an imposter? Like, should I even really be doing this if I can't even find the energy to work on it?” Especially because our coaching businesses are supposed to be our passions. It’s supposed to be something that we're super passionate about and we want to work on all the...

Today's topic is all about coaching. Because the majority of people who come to me are coaches and they always have an issue with being the guiding force for their clients. Now, as a coach, you are supposed to be a guiding force. You are supposed to ask powerful questions. You are supposed to be that guiding light to help people through what they're dealing with, but you never want to feel like you are in charge of their results, because that is a recipe for you thinking that you are in control of the exact results that your clients get. And if your clients don't get results, then you blame yourself. And that is a recipe for disaster.
When it comes to imposter syndrome, you will think that you're not good enough and that your work isn't good enough. And that may result in you procrastinating or lowering your prices or revamping your coaching programs. And nobody...

How can people pleasing affect confidence in your business? Yes, I'm talking about people pleasing when it comes to your friends, your family, your significant other, your full time job and how this all translates into your business. I’m the best recovering people pleaser that you have ever seen. I would ensure that if somebody had something that was going on that would interfere with something I was doing, I would make a room for it always.
I would stretch myself so thin and I would actually be super resentful about it. Here’s where the people pleasing tendencies came from. I have gone to therapy and done a lot of work around my worthiness, and what I noticed was that I was people pleasing because I didn't want people to reject me or not love me because I wasn't accommodating to them. I grew up in a family where we all are bent over backwards for each...

Are struggling with your mindset and struggling with feeling like you're not worthy of your prices? Feeling like you're always running on a hamster wheel? As if you're not really sure how to set goals properly because you're so afraid of the outcomes? Do you get inundated with rejection and failure, and end up feeling really shitty when that happens? If you checked yes to all of these, then you need my Mastermind in your life.
When it comes to your business, you take everything personal. You self-sabotage like no other, you procrastinate or maybe you're a perfectionist. You're constantly working on things to put them out there, and then you feel really shitty when you do put them out there and nobody buys or nobody seems interested. This stops you from showing and being consistent. Honestly, I have been there and so have my clients....

I was really thinking about one thing I repeatedly see in my DMS. One thing I consistently see with regard to people who are struggling and one thing I am constantly asked to discuss in my guest podcasts is the topic of comparisonitis. If you're often at war with your inner imposter, chances are you experience extreme comparisonitis as well. Maybe seeing the progress and wins of other people in the online space only makes you more anxious and it only shines a light into how incompetent, unorganized and overwhelmed you feel. But you really want to cheer on your biz bestie. You really want to cheer on these women and really feel good about what you're doing!
One thing I want to say is comparisonitis will come in waves. So there are times where I'll just have a day where I feel like I'm doing the wrong thing, even though there's totally quotations on that, because...

Do you know that feeling you get when you're talking about your business to people who are in your real life and your personal life, so not your online life- where you have all these amazing internet, friends and Instagram friends that are doing the same thing as you. I'm talking about when you're at the lunch table at your full time job with all your coworkers or you're at a family function, and somebody is asking you about your business and you're feeling kind of small and insignificant, and you don't really know how to articulate and how to explain to your 85 year old granddad that what you do is help women with their confidence. You help them push their business forward by overcoming their fears and imposter syndrome. How do you explain that in a way that makes you feel confident and makes you feel good?
We all know that the more that we own these things and...

So today's episode is going to be quite short, but it came up for me, especially because in this time in my life. I have found that balancing a full time job and being an entrepreneur on the side is very challenging. We're just going to jump right into it by the way, getting deep already. What came up for me was that I am constantly having to be productive and this is also related to some anxiety issues that I have in terms of feeling like my value in my worthiness is based on my doing.
I spend very little time just being, relaxing and just being okay with wherever I am, because I always feel like there's a future goal to achieve, or there's some world of success that I am not a part of yet, and that I just need to work as hard as I can to get to that place.. But that place doesn't exist.
I really wanted to talk about being okay with being where you're at and...

I’m just going to serve you the tea today because I’m here to tell you that your coaching package is too goddamn FLUFFY.
So WHAT do I mean by this?
I bet that you’re a coach who’s having no success at selling your offer. Your first mistake is that you have too many offers on the go. What I mean by this is when you’re first starting out or when you’re trying to really sell somebody, it’s so important to keep it SIMPLE.
Simplicity is something that people buy into. They want to buy because the offer is clear and simple, and the results are tangible.
I know what you’re thinking… I’m a life coach, I’m a mindset coach, I’m a confidence coach. I don’t have tangible results. Oh, you ABSOLUTELY do. When people feel better, they are their best selves, they show up differently and they take action...

One of the ways Imposter Syndrome sabotages your business is by negatively affecting your motivation. You may feel this way because you’re insecure about your business, you sense that nobody wants your services, and you feel like no matter how much effort you put in, you’re not getting anything in return.
You push on thinking that your hard work is the only thing that determines your worth. If you happen to take a few days off it can create a feeling of being out of sorts because you start feeling insecure about yourself and you can’t pinpoint which direction you want to take your business in. That, in turn, can make you lose all motivation towards that particular project or trying to create new ideas. It can take the wind right out of your sail!
For example, let’s say you’re trying to come up with new content ideas for your Instagram, the...

Imposter Syndrome can creep up in what seems like a million different ways, you can really feel like you’re on the struggle bus because there are so many ways it can show up in your life.
One of the ways it’s come through for me in the past was when I was trying to work on content. Content being the topics I’d want to talk about, the posts I’d want to make for social media, podcasts, etc. I would always think that the content I was putting out into the world was unoriginal, and that someone else had said all this before. It would go hand in hand with the fear that someone would call me out on a topic I spoke about because it wasn’t 100% my own. It made me fearful that my community would reject me.
It made me hold back some ideas that I had about a concept I would come across. I would see how it would apply to me but then I would never go through...
